Gazprom: EU’s 10-year bids for gas exceed infrastructure capacities
BARCELONA, Sep 17 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom’s European partners’ bids for gas supplies for the next 10 years already exceed the company’s current infrastructure capacities, Gazprom Export CEO Yelena Burmistrova said at a conference Monday.
“In my work I often receive requests (from European companies) for new volumes (of gas supplies), which ensure supplies at least for the next 10 years. At the moment, these volumes are significantly higher than capacities of that infrastructure that we currently have,” she said.
In 2017, Gazprom raised exports to non-CIS states by 8.4% to 194.4 billion cubic meters. Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said in late June that Gazprom’s gas exports to non-CIS states may exceed 200 billion cubic meters in 2018.
